Terms of Service

Last updated: March 9, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of domani.run (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Service”), including our website, API, CLI tool, MCP server, and all related services. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Overview

domani.run provides internet identity infrastructure for AI agents and developers. The Service includes domain name registration, DNS management, programmatic email, and related tools accessible via API, CLI, MCP, and web dashboard.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. Upon registration, you will receive an API key that grants access to the Service.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Safeguarding your API keys and authentication credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it
  • Immediately notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

We recommend using separate API tokens for different applications and revoking tokens that are no longer needed.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service.

Upon termination:

  • Your API keys will be immediately revoked
  • Active domain registrations remain yours and can be transferred to another registrar
  • We will retain transaction records as required by law (see our Privacy Policy)

4. Domain Registration

4.1 Registration Process

When you purchase a domain through the Service:

  • We register the domain on your behalf through our registrar partner
  • You become the registrant of record, subject to the policies of the relevant domain registry
  • Registration is for a period of one (1) year, renewable annually
  • Domain registration is subject to availability at the time of purchase

4.2 ICANN Compliance

Domain registrations are subject to ICANN policies, including the Registrant Rights and Responsibilities, the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), registrant data accuracy requirements, and transfer policies.

4.3 Domain Disputes

We are not responsible for resolving disputes between domain registrants and third parties. Domain name disputes are subject to the UDRP and applicable law.

4.4 Prohibited Registrations

You may not use the Service to register domains for:

  • Phishing, malware distribution, or other malicious purposes
  • Trademark infringement or cybersquatting
  • Spamming or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Any activity that violates applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel domain registrations that violate these Terms.

4.5 Domain Renewal and Expiration

  • You are solely responsible for renewing your domains before they expire
  • We may send expiration reminder emails, but the absence of such reminders does not affect your responsibility
  • Expired domains may enter a redemption period, after which they become available for registration by others
  • We do not guarantee the ability to recover expired domains

5. Pricing and Payments

5.1 Pricing

  • Domain prices vary by TLD and are displayed at the time of search
  • Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)
  • Prices may change at any time; the price displayed at the time of purchase will be honored for that transaction

5.2 Payment Method

  • A valid payment method must be on file before purchasing domains
  • Payment is processed through Stripe, Inc. and is subject to Stripe's terms of service
  • Your card is charged immediately upon purchase
  • USDC payments are also accepted on Base and Ethereum

5.3 Refunds

  • Domain registrations are non-refundable once completed, as we cannot reverse a registration with the domain registry
  • If a registration fails for technical reasons, you will not be charged
  • Billing disputes should be directed to support@domani.run within 30 days of the charge

5.4 Taxes

Prices do not include taxes unless explicitly stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or government levies.

6. API and CLI Usage

6.1 Acceptable Use

You may use the API, CLI, and MCP tools for any lawful purpose, including searching for and purchasing domains, managing DNS records, building applications and integrations, and automated management by AI agents.

6.2 Rate Limits

The API enforces per-endpoint rate limits. Current limits are documented in our API reference. You must not circumvent or attempt to bypass rate limits or use multiple accounts to increase limits.

6.3 API Availability

We aim to provide high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability, with reasonable advance notice when possible.

7. Referral Program

7.1 How It Works

Each user receives a unique referral code. When a new user registers using your referral code and purchases domains, you earn a commission on each purchase.

7.2 Prohibited Referral Practices

You may not create fake accounts to generate commissions, use misleading advertising, spam to promote your referral code, or offer financial incentives for using your code.

8. DNS Management

You may configure DNS records for domains you own through the Service. You are solely responsible for the correctness and consequences of your DNS configurations. DNS changes may take up to 48 hours to propagate globally.

The Service provides DNS snapshot and restore capabilities. Snapshots capture existing DNS records via public DNS lookups. Restoring applies records using a diff algorithm to avoid duplication.

9. Domain Transfer and Import

9.1 Domain Transfer

You may transfer domains from other registrars to domani.run. Transfer requires an EPP authorization code from your current registrar. Transfer fees include one year of renewal. Transfers typically take 1-5 days. DNS records are automatically snapshotted and restored during transfer.

9.2 Transfer Away

You may transfer your domains away from domani.run to another registrar at any time. We will provide the EPP authorization code and automatically unlock the domain.

9.3 Domain Import

You may import existing domains (free, read-only) for monitoring and management without transferring registration. Imported domains require TXT record verification. DNS operations on imported domains return instructions for manual setup at your current registrar.

10. Domain Parking

Purchased domains may be parked with a branded landing page. Parked domains display a page indicating they are registered through domani.run. You may enable or disable parking at any time. Enabling parking on a domain with existing DNS records requires explicit confirmation as it may overwrite those records.

11. Programmatic Email

11.1 Email Service

The Service allows you to send and receive emails programmatically from domains you own. You may create mailboxes, send emails, receive inbound emails, and configure webhooks or forwarding for inbound email. Every user receives a free email address on @domani.run.

11.2 Message Storage

We store email content including sender and recipient addresses, subject lines, message body, attachment metadata, and delivery status. Messages are retained until deleted by you or until account deletion.

11.3 Acceptable Email Use

You must comply with all applicable email laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR). You must not send spam, phishing, malware, or fraudulent messages, impersonate others, or harvest email addresses.

11.4 Limits

Email usage is subject to rate limits and quotas as documented in our API reference. Reserved slugs (postmaster, abuse, admin, noreply, support, webmaster) cannot be used as mailbox addresses.

12. Webhooks

You may register HTTPS endpoints to receive real-time event notifications. Usage limits are documented in our API reference. Payloads are signed with HMAC-SHA256 for verification. Failed deliveries are retried up to 3 times with exponential backoff. You are responsible for securing your webhook endpoints.

13. Domain Marketplace

You may set a listing price on parked domains. Potential buyers may submit inquiries through a contact form. domani.run is not a broker and does not facilitate, mediate, or guarantee any sale. Listing does not guarantee a sale.

14. Intellectual Property

The domani.run name, logo, website design, API design, documentation, and all related intellectual property are owned by us. You retain ownership of your domains, DNS configurations, and content you host. If you provide feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use it to improve the Service.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or reliability of results, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless domani.run from claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, domains you register, DNS configurations you create, emails you send, and content you host.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes shall first be resolved informally, then by binding arbitration under AAA rules. You waive any right to participate in a class action.

19. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page and notifying registered users via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

20. General Provisions

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. You may not assign your rights without our written consent.
